TOMORROW: Coronavirus Telephone Town Hall Featuring IRS, Department of Labor, and Local Officials and Experts
After hearing from thousands of my constituents, I have invited representatives from the IRS and the Department of Labor to join me for a telephone town hall tomorrow, April 15, 2020 at 3:00 PM.
Together, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and the Department of Labor will give a brief update on issues like economic impact payments and paid leave and then take questions from those participating in the event. State Senator Angela Paxton, State Representative Candy Noble, and Dr. Trish M. Perl, Chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases and Geographic Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center, will also participate, providing State of Texas and heath updates, and answer questions during the telephone event.
While I have hosted several telephone town halls since the spread of COVID-19 throughout the United States, I wanted to make sure we had experts from the federal agencies on hand to answer the many questions you have about these specific topics.
If you wish to receive a call tomorrow to join this free event, please sign up by registering at the button below. While registering, you may also submit any questions or concerns you would like addressed before the event. I want to make sure we are providing information that will answer the questions on the forefront of your minds.
If you miss the call, or encounter technical difficulties, you may also participate in the event live online tomorrow.
